INSPIRED BY DIFFERENCE.
My name is Bethania Maria, formerly known as Bethania Maria Gonzalez. I have been practicing Immigration Law since 2002 and have dealt with immigration issues most of my life.
Before I became an Immigration Attorney, I was a University/College Professor for nearly 20 years. During my free time, I often helped relatives, friends, and students complete their immigration paperwork. I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean. I am fully Spanish/English bilingual. As an immigrant, I understand what it takes to gain legal immigration status in the USA. I can also relate to the struggles and the frustration of dealing with the immigration system. My work background is very diverse. I hold a double Bachelor’s Degree in Education and School Counseling, a Master’s Degree in Rural Sociology, a Doctorate Degree in Urban Sociology, and a Doctorate Degree in Law. I am committed to helping immigrants, women, children, gays/lesbians, older people, poor people, and people with disabilities.
I put forward my best effort in order to win my cases. I am a hard worker and I do not run away from difficult cases. I work well with local immigration officers, local deportation officers, and members of law enforcement. I take pride in working with full honesty. During my consults, I tell people if there is a legal way to do what they want to do. If nothing can be done, I advise people not to waste their money, time, and energy chasing impossible dreams. For some individuals, the best advice is to wait until there is a change in the law or in their circumstances. If you have an immigration legal issue that needs attention, please make an appointment to speak with me and give me a chance to serve you.
